Enoch turns 5!

Last month Enoch had his birthday. We had a Bob the Builder themed party. The kids built houses with graham crackers and candy, tried (unsuccessfully) to smash a pinata, and played other games.

Hair Cuts

About a month and a half ago I finally decided it was time to chop off Caleb's mop of baby hair. I'm still sad about it, but he's still adorable.

Happy Easter

Enoch made this fun Easter bunny mask at school.
He put it on and pretended to be the Easter Bunny Monster.

Enoch was excited that Caleb still wasn't quite old enough to realize he should keep any Easter eggs he found during the Easter egg hunt. Whenever Caleb found an egg he kindly put it in Enoch's bucket for him. What a nice brother.

It is a tradition in our family to go to the temple on Easter and walk around the temple grounds. Easter in Arizona is a beautiful time of year.

Pictures for April

We went to a pre-season game at Chase Field with my sister and brother-in-law when they visited a couple weeks ago. It was fun to finally get back to the stadium for a game.

Fan Fest 2009

We went to the Diamond Backs' Fan Fest at Chase field downtown a couple weeks ago. It's a big celebration down on the ball field. We had a lot of fun going through the dugout and touring the clubhouse. We saw a lot of the players up close and the manager. Enoch can now say he's hit a ball in a MLB stadium.

Us sitting in the dugout.

Two players giving autographs - Chris Young and Connor Jackson.

Enoch and I down on the field.

(Sorry it's sideways) Enoch on our way into the clubhouse.

and running the bases.

The Boys

Here are a few pictures from the last month.

Caleb is a climber. We can't leave any chairs pulled out away from the table at all or he'll climb right up. To amuse him I let him sit on the table for a few minutes during breakfast the other day.

We visited the Casa Grande National Monument just 30 minutes south of here last month. It is this huge structure in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere. The whole area around it has been excavated. Several hundred years ago it was a village of Hohokam Indians.

After living in our apartment for almost two years we finally figured out that our hammack can be hung on our balcony. It is now Duane's favorite place to read and nap.

This is almost the only picture that I could get with both kids looking at the camera. They just don't like to hold still at the park.
