Last night we celebrated Isaiah’s birthday with cousins, grandparents, an uncle and aunts. He’s been counting down the days ‘til his birthday for a long time!
Today we get to celebrate all over again!

Caleb got to participate in his first ever costume parade at school! It was with all the other afternoon kindergarteners. (His teacher is the cat right in front of him.)
Here are the kids before we headed off to our ward’s Halloween carnival. They were pretty excited that they got to wear their costumes already, even though Halloween was almost two weeks away still.
This is Halloween night before trick-or-treating. Yes – Duane wore his costume to work and even went golfing with it on.
Elsie loves to climb and sit up with the big kids at the counter. (Looking back at the last pictures I posted of her in March makes it apparent that she’s grown a lot of hair since then!)
Our new house has three parks within walking distance. The kids love it!
This spring and summer we had a lot of change going on in our family. (Hence the lack of blog posts!)
#1: Morning sickness hit. (Though it was more like all-day sickness for 2 1/2 months!) In just a couple of weeks we’ll be welcoming another little girl into our family!
#2: This was in our driveway:
We moved three months ago and now live up by Salt Lake. New house, new job, new neighbors, new city, new ward. (And more recently a newer ward, since they spilt our new ward two weeks ago.)
#3: Country life to city life.
Back yard then--------------------------------------Back yard now
Of course there are things we love about living here and there are things we miss about where we used to live.
#4: New school for the boys:
The boys started at a new school as soon as we moved, because they attend a year-round school that started in July. Caleb is a kindergartener and is enjoying the French Immersion program. (He says “Au revoir!” when I drop him off at school.)
Enoch is in 4th grade, and is going to experience more change tomorrow when he transfers to a new elementary school for an advanced 4th grade class. We’ll have two kids in two schools on two different schedules!
