Can you believe it?

Isaiah is 2!!!

We had a fun day celebrating Isaiah's birthday a week and a half ago. It was very low key - presents and a special breakfast in the morning, dinner at Pizza Hut (again), and friends over for cake and ice cream.

We love having Isaiah in our family. He is a very easy going, lovable little guy. He keeps us smiling and laughing. He loves playing with his brothers and copying everything they say and do. I have to constantly remind myself that he's only 2, because he's always doing what the big kids do. He's been great at talking for a long time already, and sometimes I wonder where he learns the things he says. He sings some songs really well, and likes to do the actions to certain Primary songs he's learned. (Currently he loves "Ba Ba Black Sheep", "Book of Mormon Stories", "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", and "I am a Child of God.") He also loves saying prayers, and shouts "Me say it!" whenever it's time to have a prayer. He loves Elmo and was really excited when he saw his cake. He also loved wearing his Elmo costume for Halloween. He loves to swing outside all by himself (on his belly), and play at the park. He climbs and plays on the slides all by himself now. He pretends right along side his brothers, which means sometimes he's walking around making train sounds, or car sounds, or unfortunately - shooting sounds. For the most part Isaiah does a great job at sharing all the toys and being a happy little brother. He's learning every day and it's so fun to watch his personality develop.

My belly...and our family...is growing!

I guess it's finally time I posted about our new bundle of joy coming in February. SHE is going to be adored by her brothers....yes....I'm looking forward to some pink bows and ruffles around here!

Enoch Turns 7!

Enoch requested a MATH themed party for his birthday this year. (Yes - he's a math lover!) It was a lot of fun! I made an invitation for the party that read: "3+4 = 7, Enoch = 7 too! Come help him add it all up! He'd really like to play with you!" Here are a few pictures from the festivities.

Enoch and I made this pinata for the party.

Enoch wanted to decorate his own cake this year, which was fine with me! I got him some sparkly gel and some sprinkles.

The kids playing "Even, Even, Odd"

Musical Chairs

Enoch got silly string for a present from a friend, and Duane decided to "test it out" all over the kitchen. I think he must have used half of it before Enoch could get his hands on it.

Baseball Update

Enoch finished up his baseball season a couple weeks ago. His team did an amazing job! After his first two games, we saw a big improvement, and Enoch got on base almost every single time he was up to bat. His last game they played the only undefeated team of the league and won! His coaches took the games very seriously, so they were very happy with that last win, and gave the boys a pizza party with a bounce house at the park! He came home with a treat bag and a new baseball. Wow! Great job Enoch!

Summer Fun

Enoch's Field Trip

I attended Enoch's 1st grade field trip with him at the end of May. We went to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. About 20 minutes from our house, north of Kanab, there is a turn-off to go to the sand dunes. After you turn off you drive about 30 minutes through desert and come to the sand dunes. It was pretty cold and windy (especially for being the end of May), but we had fun and got covered with sand anyway. Without trying we all took home some souvenir sand...

Baseball Season Has Begun!

Yesterday was Enoch's first baseball game. He played shortstop and 2nd base. He did a great job at stopping the ball, and throwing it (even if he wasn't sure where to throw it.) And he did a great job at his one time batting (even if he did strike out - we're blaming it on the pitching machine.)

He is on the Cincinnati Reds coach pitch team with other boys his age. The next month and a half is going to be busy - an hour and a half practice twice a week and one to two games a week. But it's going to be fun! His coaches are three guys from our ward that also have boys on the team. There are also some boys from his school class on his team also.

Ezra

Today is our sweet Ezra's birthday. He would have been 5 years old. We love him and are so thankful that he is a part of our family, even if he isn't here with us right now. We will be with him again some day.
